My teen boys can be pretty sarcastic. It drives me nuts when, in response to one of my questions, they say the exact opposite of what they know I want to hear. It thrills their little teenage hearts to get me so annoyed.
So, I find it ironic that I love opposites in writing. I admire authors who can combine antonyms to illustrate their point. The smart wordplay is a great attention-getter.

Shifting My Perspective 
Claire, your reflection here got me thinking of how God our Father, in creation, used opposites in every aspect of our existence here on earth … night and day, earth and sky, sun and moon, summer and winter, male and female … a ton of others, resulting in a glorious harmony throughout creation , represented for sure in musical instruments … treble and base, brass and strings, even musical voices, alto, soprano, etc. And yes … as you reflected so beautifully on Jesus’ use of opposites … His becoming human in total obedience to His Father, the complete opposite of disobedient Adam. Even John the Baptist recognized Jesus’ love of opposites when he cried, “You should be baptizing me!” No end to the examples we could reflect on,and I bless you for taking my own reflections in this direction!!!
