It’s fascinating to me that I can read the same scripture verse tens of times and view it the same exact way each time. Then, one day, a whole new layer is revealed. That’s what happened to me with today’s scripture verse.

Knowing today is Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year, I read Luke 19 through that lens. I suddenly realized it wasn’t just the sellers in the temple courts who were at fault; it was the buyers too. It takes two to tango. The sellers never would have bothered to set up their tables if they thought no one would come with money to buy.
